How quotable is your page inside an AI answer?

Paste a URL. We grade twelve things that decide whether a model can lift a clean passage out of your page: the opening paragraph, a definition sentence, question-shaped headings, lists, tables, an FAQ block, sources and a date. Then we show you the exact passage it would most likely quote.

Free, no account. We fetch the page once and grade its shape. Nothing is sent to a language model, which is why it costs nothing.

What we grade, and why

Direct answer
An AI answer is a quote, and quotes come from paragraphs. We check whether your first paragraph is the right length to lift whole, whether the first 100 words contain a plain "X is…" sentence, and whether the page opens with an answer or with a sentence about the topic existing.
Structure
Models quote sections, and headings are what mark a section. Question-shaped H2s match the query somebody typed, which makes the text under them the obvious answer. Paragraphs longer than five sentences get truncated or skipped.
Extractable formats
Lists, tables and FAQ blocks survive extraction without being reconstructed. An FAQ block marked up as FAQPage is the strongest of the three, because the question and the answer are already paired for the machine.
Evidence
Depth, outbound sources and a date. These are the signals that separate a page worth citing from one of ten identical pages. A page with no sources and no date gives a model no reason to prefer it over a competitor that has both.

If the score comes back very low and the page looks fine in a browser, check what a crawler actually receives. A page rendered client-side scores near zero here for the simple reason that there is no text in the HTML to grade.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS TOOL

What is answer readiness?
How easy it is for a model to lift a clean, correct passage out of your page and put it in an answer. It is a different question from ranking. A page can rank first and still be unquotable, because the thing that gets quoted is a specific paragraph, and most pages bury theirs under three sentences of preamble.
How is this scored?
Twelve checks in four groups. Direct answer: is there a lead paragraph the right length to lift, a definition sentence in the first 100 words, and no throat-clearing opening. Structure: question-shaped H2s, a sane heading hierarchy, and paragraphs short enough to quote whole. Extractable formats: lists, tables, and an FAQ block. Evidence: enough depth, outbound sources, and a date. Each check is worth the same, and every one tells you what to change.
Does a high score mean AI will cite me?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. This measures the shape of your page, which is the part you control. Whether an AI answer actually names you depends on your authority, your competitors, and what the model was asked, none of which a page-level check can see. What we can say is that an unquotable page does not get quoted regardless of everything else.
Why does the opening paragraph matter so much?
Because it is the passage a model reaches for first, and because it is the cheapest thing on this list to fix. If your first paragraph is a scene-setting sentence about how the industry is changing, that is what gets extracted. The answer is usually already on the page, one paragraph further down. Moving it up costs one edit.
Why do you check for tables and lists?
Because they survive extraction intact. A table has already made the comparison, so a model can lift it without reasoning. The same comparison written as prose has to be reconstructed, and reconstruction is where models get things wrong about you. Not every page needs a table, which is why that check is a warning and not an error.
Does this cost anything or need an account?
No. It is one HTTP request to your public URL and our own parsing. Nothing is sent to a language model, so there is nothing to bill. It is rate limited to 10 checks an hour per address.

We can watch this for you.

This grades the shape of one page. What it cannot tell you is whether AI answers actually name you for the questions your buyers ask, or who they name instead. That is what we do: real questions, asked live, tracked over time, with the citation URLs of whoever got named.
